The 2.5-hour Downtown Charleston Culinary Tour visits four different food establishments and combines elements of a historical tour with a culinary adventure! Learn about Charleston's history as you enjoy tastings of traditional favorites and contemporary innovations, all of which highlight the cuisine of locally-owned restaurants. Insight into Lowcountry cuisine accompanies the broad range of samples on your food tour. This is our original tour around the French Quarter and City Market and focuses on the traditional flavors of the region.

On our Secret Food Tour: Charleston, let our experienced guides take you on a foodie adventure through the picturesque and historic streets of the French Quarter.

Learn how pirates, pandemics, natural disasters, and war have all shaped our local food scene. At the end of the tour, you'll have sampled classic Carolina-style BBQ, fresh seafood, and even a local delicacy crafted for a U.S. President. Plus, our decadent Secret Dish might just make you leave singing a happy song!

Charleston's only chef led historic walking tour, cooking demonstration and lunch! Our experience begins with a 90 minute food history walking tour in the historic district, followed by a cooking demonstration, lunch & paired wine tasting at the popular local's spot Bistro a Vin. It's led by Charleston's only South Carolina Chef Ambassador & Palmetto Guild Certified tour guide, Forrest Parker. Leading the teams at some of Charleston's most iconic restaurants, Parker has been called a "visionary who calls upon the culture, history & flavor traditions of South Carolina to create heritage-infused experiences." Parker was recognized by then Governor Nikki Haley as a S.C. Chef Ambassador in 2016, a capstone for a culinary career that began in 1995.

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston.  Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

Sample southern cuisine from several world-class restaurants located in the heart of Charleston’s Historic District, and learn a little history while you do it. Enjoy VIP access as you skip the line into some of Charleston’s top restaurants.

Sample a variety of signature southern dishes that the Charleston area is known for and in between restaurant stops, your guide will walk you through Charleston’s beautiful alleyways and passing by iconic landmarks which make for great photo ops.

Each stop is not a full meal, but by the end of our tour the samples should equal a full portion of food. Each stop at food establishments is around 20 minutes total with the entirety of the tour coming in at about 2 hours long.

On our Secret Food Tour: Charleston - Upper King St. Brunch, you'll discover a thriving, contemporary community of restaurants, bars, and shops located just north of the Historic District.

Our experienced guides will take you on a brunch-fueled journey down Charleston's second-most historically and architecturally significant street, one so important that it was named after the King of England! Along the way, you'll indulge in savory and decadent breakfast and lunch creations that help showcase the kind of culinary innovation that shapes modern Southern cuisine. And don't even get us started on all of the gorgeous historic homes ducked around every corner. Upper King isn't just any old street, it's a vibe, and it's one best served with pancakes and mimosas.

Explore Charleston's City Market in the historic downtown district on a guided foodie walking tour. Learn about the city's history as you enjoy tastings of low-country cuisine.

The Women and Wine is a combined history and bar tour that will include two bar stops and historic sites in between. Led and designed by two locals Gia and Capt. Bryan the focus of this experience is on women who changed the scene politically, socially, and economically in this city of firsts with drink options along the way in the partner bar establishments. Start out by enjoying a glass of wine/beer/ or cocktail in a wine bar started by three women entrepreneurs and being introduced to women who were active in Prohibition era Charleston. From there guests will explore the historic district and several sites associated with influential women in awe inspiring tales of adversity and strength. Guests will finish the tour in the second bar establishment. While this experience is designed in part by women, and about women, it will be a unique adventure for guests of all backgrounds and the first of its kind being offered in Charleston.
