This excursion includes an itinerary in stages to let you know and appreciate places of particular natural value within the reserve of the Etna Park up to an altitude of about 2000 meters. By cable car you will reach an altitude of 2500 m and will eventually get up to 2900 m by special unimog vehicles. After a short briefing and after providing all the necessary equipment, our adventure will begin.

With the cable car we will quickly climb to an altitude of 2500m, and from here we will begin our trek between ancient and recent lava flows, up to an altitude of 3000m, from where we will admire the peculiarities of the summit air.

Highlights of the tour include: The ancient crater of Montagnola, Piano del Lago, Cisternazza, Craters of 2002 and the summit area.

Descent again on foot up to 2500mt which will bring us back to the starting point.

Starting from Catania, one our guide will lead you along a beautiful naturalistic path, while explaining the origins of our  Volcano. At 2000 mt you will catch cable car to reach 2500 mt and then on a 4x4 vehicle you will go up 2950 mt. Alpine guides will show you the beautiful landscape of the base of the summit craters seeing at 1 km of distance the main crater.
* In winter time, in case the trails are covered by a thick layer of snow (usually from January to March), part of the excursion will take place using snowshoes and sticks. It could be possible that you will go on the snow cat vehicle with an extra cost of 30 euro per person.
Then, join with us the visit of a cave of volcanic origins with all the equipment provided by us.
At lunchtime enjoy an outdoor picnic made of Sicilian typical street food, water, red wine and typical sweets. During winter time, the outdoor picnic could be substituted by lunch in a Chalet with pizza, because of the low temperatures.
