We are unique in that we offer this beautiful trip into our back yard with history from guides with over 30 years experience on the river and stories from maori elders going back 33 generations (or so). Also we pride ourselves on our homemade light lunch and the fact we can pick up from the ship. All trips get clients back onto the cruiseships well before departure.

You will have the opportunity walk around a Vineyard for a photo opportunity. Just ask as we drive through the vines. You will learn the Winemaking process from the Vine to the Bottle, Visit the oldest Winery in New Zealand. Here you will learn about their history dating back to the 1830’s in Lyon, France. Explore Napier on a self-guided scenic bike or e-bike ride to some of the region's favorite wineries. Follow the Tuki Tuki River trails along the stunning Cape Kidnappers coastline.

*All cruise tours depart from the National Aquarium - please see note below* This scenic tour will depart Napier, following the coastline before heading inland to follow the beautiful Tukituki River with stunning views across the valley and the Havelock North hills to Te Mata Peak. You will then cross the river, heading past Craggy Range winery and into Havelock North before starting the exhilarating climb, almost 400m, to the top of the Peak with spectacular, 360-degree panoramic views of Hawkes Bay and on a clear day as far as the volcanic Ruapehu! Climbing a mountain on a V8 trike can be an experience to remember, great for celebrating birthdays or that special occasion. We spend approximately 20 mins at the Peak before heading back down through the orchards and vineyards. Napier does not have a cruise passenger terminal so all passengers a required to hop on the free shuttles into the city, the second stop is the National Aquarium which is where our cruise tours depart from.

Experience Hawke's Bay on this scenic 28km (17 mile) cycle ride. The route follows beautiful coastal bike trail. Visit Atea A Rangi Star Compass and enjoy wildlife in the estuary wetlands. The trail turns inland along Tukituki River valley vineyards. You can visit up to 4 wineries. Enjoy local cuisine, wine tasting or a glass of wine before our shuttle comes to take you back to Napier. This is a self-guided bike ride, you'll be provided map with directions and highlights. The route is 28km (17 mile) long and almost all cycle trail. Hospitality venues: Askerne Wines- open Mon-Sun Craggy Range - open Mon-Sun (requires 5km detour, booking essential) Te Mata Estate - open Mon-Sun Black Barn - open Mon-Sun Return shuttle departs Black Barn at 4pm. Booking wine tasting and lunch is recommended, especially on weekends.

Meet our van at the last winery at Havelock North at Black Barn Vineyard for a 4pm transfer back to your pick up point.
