Channel the legendary artist and architect Antoni Gaudí during this fun, family-friendly mosiac workshop. Over the course of 2 hours, you will learn the mosiac technique "trencadis," which he invented and can be found all over Barcelona's main monuments. You can choose between glass or ceramic to create a unique masterpiece in Gaudís technique such as photo frame, top of a box, elefant and other decoration objects.

You'll start with discovering Gaudi's amazing Casa Batllo and it's fascinating symbolic fascade. From there we'll continue to walk along Barcelona's famous Passeig de Gracia and learn how the Example neighborhood was created and why. Along Passeig de Gracia you'll get the chance to appreciate it's Modernisme (Art Nouveau) architecture with it's decorative buildings and lamp posts with tiled benches. Follow Gaudi's tilling on the sidewalks until you reach his apartment complex Casa Mila (also known as La Pedrera). Here you'll discover why he felt the need to leave the building unfinished and why the rooftop is wavy. The next stop will be his famous Sagrada Familia. We'll hop on the metro and ride just two stops. As you familiarize yourself with the subway system, you must really feel like a local! At the Sagrada Familia you'll learn how the outside tells the biblical story and find out why there is a mosaic Evergreen tree on one side between the bell towers.
