A journey into Rome’s traditionally “popular” district of Testaccio with your excellent guide and chef, a gastronome, editor of a book of gastronomy and Italian cuisine historian. Learn to prepare handmade pasta and other local recipes and enjoy the meal.

You will start the lesson preparing the dough for lasagna, then you will roll it out and fill the dressing before the baking.

Then, learn how to prepare the dough for tagliatelle with their condiments. Once the work is completed, you will enjoy the meal and the dishes tasting with the chef.

You will also learn to combine the local recipes with fine Italian wine, which of course you will taste. After the lesson, you will receive a paper with all the recipes prepared with the chef.

Lots of food, amazing stories about beautiful sites and just a little bit of exercise make this the perfect way to taste your way through the three best neighborhoods of the eternal city.
The tour starts with a traditional Italian breakfast, then we’ll make our way to the world famous Campo de Fiori market, but it is on the edge of the market in two of the local’s favorite, ancient establishments where we’ll indulge in delicious pizza and then cold cuts and cheese.
Our next stop will be Trastevere, where we’ll sample the Roman style rice balls called supplì. From there, we’ll head to Mercato Testaccio, a lesser-known food market where we’ll enjoy a plate of the best freshly made Roman pasta and a glass of wine.
Finally, we head to Circus Maximus, where we’ll learn the ancient origins of Roman street food while tasting delicious, creamy gelato.
